What is LinkTrick?
LinkTrick is a free daily word-grouping puzzle on Tictric. Every day, 16 words appear on the board. Your challenge is to identify the 4 hidden groups of 4 words — each group shares a secret connection. You have 4 mistakes before the game ends.
LinkTrick is a free alternative to NYT Connections with full Arabic support, no subscription required, and a new puzzle every single day.
How to Play LinkTrick
🟨 Yellow (Easiest): The most straightforward category — the connection should be fairly obvious to most players.
🟩 Green (Medium): Moderate difficulty. May involve wordplay, fill-in-the-blank patterns, or less obvious categories.
🟦 Blue (Hard): Tricky connections that often involve cultural references or unexpected patterns. Watch for decoys.
🟪 Purple (Hardest): The most misdirecting category. At least one word in this group looks like it belongs elsewhere — that's intentional.
Strategy Tips for LinkTrick
- Start with your most confident group. Submit the one you're 100% sure about first. Each confirmed group removes 4 words and makes everything else clearer.
- Question the obvious. LinkTrick deliberately places decoy words. If four words immediately jump out, pause — one of them likely belongs to the purple group.
- Look for fill-in-the-blank patterns. Many categories follow "___ + word" or "word + ___" formats. "BALL, FIELD, HOUSE, YARD" could all follow "PLAY___".
- Use your mistakes wisely. You only have 4 — don't guess a group you're only 70% sure about if other options are clearer.
