What is WordTrick?
WordTrick is Tictric's free daily word guessing game — a completely free Wordle alternative with no paywall. Each day a new 5-letter word is hidden. You have 6 attempts to guess it. After each guess, tiles flip to reveal color-coded feedback: green means right letter in the right position, yellow means right letter in the wrong position, and grey means the letter is not in the word at all.
The format will be familiar to anyone who played Wordle — but WordTrick stays completely free with no login, no paywall, and full Arabic support. Your streak and stats are stored locally in your browser.
How to play WordTrick
Green tile: This letter is in the correct position. Keep it in the same spot on your next guess.
Yellow tile: This letter exists in the word but is in the wrong position. Move it somewhere else.
Grey tile: This letter is not in the word at all. Eliminate it from future guesses.
The keyboard updates too. Watch the on-screen keyboard — it mirrors the tile colors so you always know which letters are confirmed, present, or eliminated.
Best strategy tips
- Start with CRANE, RAISE, or SLATE. These words cover the most common letters (E, A, R, I, O, T, N, S) in one guess.
- Never use grey letters again. Every grey letter is confirmed absent from the answer. Reusing them wastes a guess entirely.
- Move yellows immediately. A yellow letter is confirmed present — just in the wrong spot. Your next guess must place it elsewhere.
- Avoid double letters in guess 1. Maximum information comes from maximum unique letters in your first guess.
- Think about word patterns. If you have _IGHT, there are many options: LIGHT, NIGHT, MIGHT, SIGHT. Narrow them down methodically.
